Welcome to the "Find the Perfect Boondocking Spot" course!

We're going to teach you how to find and scout beautiful, safe off-grid camping locations. And we're going to have fun doing it!

First, a definition of boondocking:
Camping without hookups (like water, power or sewer) on designated land for little or no cost.

Here’s what you’ll need:
  • An RV or vehicle to spend the night in
  • A computer or mobile device
  • An internet connection
  • A paper/pencil or note taking app
  • A bull whip and fedora (optional)

We’ve spent months camping off-grid the last couple of years and we absolutely love it.

Once you know where to look and what to look for, finding great spots is easier than you think. We’ll show you how to find the best camping spots in these five easy ways.

How to Find Spots
  1. Websites & Apps
  2. BLM, National Forest, & Recreation Areas
  3. Memberships
  4. Mapping, Scouting & Adventuring
