We built a hyperadobe composting toilet outhouse, and it FAILED. We'll try to figure out what went wrong, and then rip apart the inside and re-built it into a cozy modern mudroom complete with flushing toilet, washer, dryer, and hand sink.
Tremendous!!! and we all need a Dad like Ashleys' ....🌻
Such a relief to finally have it done. I gotta share our plumbing nightmare. We live in a 119 year old Victorian in New York and a few years ago the old (original) ceramic pipe that connected the house to the sewer line in the street collapsed. Apparently this is a thing around here. We found a plumber who had a lot of experience replacing these collapsed drainage pipes and he and his crew took over our house. We couldn't use our toilet for 12 days. We couldn't shower. We couldn't do laundry. We couldn't wash dishes. We had a hole in our yard that was 15 feet deep. The plumbing crew had to dig down to the old pipe, which was below the level of our cellar floor. Anyway, all this to say I feel your pain. Even if you still had the old Tiny Shiny toilet it was still a huge disappointment. And hauling those barrels out was not a fun project. Major props on succeeding at plumbing AND electrical. It looks amazing and you all so earned it.
Goodness that sounds like a nightmare! Glad you got it all fixed :)
